Budbrooke Primary School, Mr Brereton Runner Up in PE Teacher of the Year 2015!

Budbrooke Primary School teacher Luke Brereton has made the final shortlist of three nominations for PE Teacher of the Year at the 2015 Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sports Awards.

PE leader Mr Brereton attended the prestigious awards ceremony at the Ricoh Arena (November 12th) which celebrates the outstanding sporting successes and recognises those who have made a tremendous contribution to sport in the region.

Mr Brereton said: “It is such an honour to be nominated for the award. It is a proud achievement for myself and the children who took part in the many sporting activities the school has on offer. It is great to see so many enthusiastic children at Budbrooke trying, playing and enjoying sport. The school runs a lot of extra-curricular sporting activities and this along with the enthusiasm of the children and the support of the parents   made it a very special year of sport for the school. This has inspired many other children and long may it continue.”

Budbrooke Primary School has also recently been awarded the Sainsbury School Games Bronze Award in recognition of its commitment to sport and competitive sport.
