Today's learning includes sequencing the events from our Bounce Inspiration Day and creating a plan to help you write a recount. You will also be able to create speech and thought bubbles to express how the characters are feeling in Hit The Ball Duck!
Resilience and effort are so important Growth Mindset skills. Your afternoon challenge is to create and design a character to represent effort.

For children who are continuing with the rainbow words - (most year 1's)
The grouped words are saved in the downloads section. If you could select your childs next colour and continue to practice reading and writing the ten words until your child is confident. As soon as they are happy, move onto the next set of words. Lets see how many of you can move through the different coloured sets. Challenge yourself by setting targets.
Continue to choose 5 words a week from the word mat and put them into sentences. Challenge yourself to use different sentence openers and adjectives. Remember you must spell the word correctly each time. We will look forward to seeing your sentences when we return to school
Below are some links to different songs and videos that we would usually explore at school. These might help if your child is finding it hard to engage with the letters and sounds daily video.
Phonics play have also extended the free subcription so the children can enjoy playing games at home too.
