Monday

Choir - Miss Woods - KS1 & KS2

They are learning Christmas songs to be able to perform to the rest of the school. We are developing vocal range, tone and performance skills.

Craft Club - Miss Chadwick - Year 1 & Year 2

In Craft Club, children are able to explore and create using different crafting techniques and materials. So far this half-term, the children have collaborated to create a poppy wreath for Remembrance Day out of recyclable materials, challenged themselves to use collage in their sun-catchers and have been creative by using different paper techniques to create thank you cards.  

Multi-Sports Ball Skills - Miss Retter - Year 1 & Year 2

French - Miss Fletcher - KS2

This half term, French Club children have been learning to describe La Ville and have spotted lots of similarities between the French and English languages.

We’re also mastering counting to 100.

Later on in the term, we will be singing Christmas carols in French and eating a scrummy French breakfast. 

Mindfulness - Mrs James - KS2

We are practising lots of mindful techniques which we can use in everyday life. We have already had a go at different mindful breathing techniques and mediation, and our future sessions will include mindful eating and mindful colouring. 

Cross Country - Mr Brereton - KS2

The children have enjoyed learning and developing their running skills and techniques at Cross Country Club this term. They have run around the school environment, while working on their breathing skills and building up their stamina during running challenges. 

Thursday

Recorder Club - Mrs Lambert - Year 1 & Year 2

Recorder Club for KS1 introduces notation reading and an understanding of rhythm whilst playing a tuned instrument. The club introduces three notes: B, A and G. These notes are explored with different rhythms and note lengths. We enjoy playing to a range of songs that are upbeat and catchy!

Badminton - Mr Jones - Year 1 & Year 2

Do you want to learn a new sport? Badminton is a delightful sport that can be enjoyed by all levels of skill. Badminton club enjoys a wide variety of abilities and welcomes anybody who wants to join. We play fun games, interesting drills, and competitive games so there is something for everyone.
