Protective Behaviours
As part of our work on keeping children safe and safeguarding, we follow the Warwickshire Programme for Protective Behaviours.
This comprises 4 lessons taught around the two key themes:
1) We all have the right to feel safe all the time.
2) We can talk with someone about anything, even if it feels awful or small.
The work revolves around:
* Rights and responsibilities
* The safety continuum
* Early Warning Signs
* Networks of trusted people
In addition to the 4 lessons, these themes are reinforced throughout the year in all aspects of the curriculum. We often talk to children in terms of their Early Warning Signs and whether they feel safe.
