Welcome to Holly Class Home Page

Hello everyone! My name is Mrs Bunney. In my classroom, I enjoy seeing the children speaking with confidence, putting their learning first and challenging themselves in many ways.

I have a passion for dance and other exercise classes, I love going for evening walks and travelling to spend time with family and friends on the weekends!

Our lovely teaching assisstant is Miss Tyler.

Autumn Term: The United Kingdom and The Stone Age to Iron Age

We will be naming and locating countries and cities in the United Kingdom; identifying human and physical characteristics; understand land use patterns and how these have changed over time; use maps and atlases to locate countries.  We will be learning about the Stone Age and Iron Age in History. We will learn terminology relating to time and sequence dates on a timeline; explore changes to lifestyle throughout the periods and investigate prehistoric settlements. We will learn how the invention of metals changed how people lived.

Holly Class Reminders:

Holly class PE days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. PE kit should be worn to school on this day. Children should have a named water bottle and a coat in school. 

How to Support Your Child's Learning:

-Practise your child's spellings with them.

-Read (preferably daily) with your child. Try and encourage them to read a range of genre of books and authors. Here are a couple of useful lists of recommended books for Year 3 children:

-Practise times tables with your child. Little and often is often the best way with times tables. Purple Mash is an excellent resource which has lots of times table activities on. Here are a few good websites with games that your child can play whilst also practising their times tables:
