Mrs Hallam
Mrs Montgomery
Welcome to Pine's class learning page. On this page you will be able to find information about our learning in school such as our topic overview each half term, or any important messages.
We are really looking forward to welcoming the children to Budbrooke to begin their school life. Our topic for the first half of the Autumn term is 'Let's Explore'. This project teaches children about the environment that they share with others, including their homes, school and places in the local community.
Key Texts:
We're Going on a Bear Hunt - Michael Rosen
In Every House, on Every Street - Jess Hitchman

We will also be learning to name special people in our lives and describing different feelings. The children will be learning to identify who can help them if they are sad, worried or scared.
Welly Walk - Friday afternoon (please ensure your child has wellies in school for this)
Water bottles - Please send your child in with their water bottle everyday and we then send this home with them each afternoon. Please no squash - Water only.

Home learning:
1) Phonics - each day we will learn a new phonics sound. Please use the yellow phonics book to practise the sounds and actions at home.
2) Reading - new reading books will be sent home each week. Your child will also have rainbow words sent home. The first (red) set are the words: 'the, and, a, to, said, in, he, I, of, it.' Please practise these daily. Children should be able to recognise these words by sight.
